A Polish company bringing UD polyethylene laminate to armour manufacturers in Europe — under its own brand, from its own stock.
SQUARED sp. z o.o. owns the ULTAR™ brand of UD polyethylene laminate and supplies it to manufacturers of soft body armour, rigid protective inserts and vehicle armour panels across the EU.
The material is manufactured by UDM Industries Ltd. in Israel and held in stock by SQUARED in Poland. From there it ships in development and qualification quantities within days, and in larger quantities on call-off against a supply agreement.
Alongside the material, SQUARED gives buyers a starting point for their construction from the data it holds — and a direct line to the people who can act on a question.
Armour manufacturers in Europe have long had two kinds of UD laminate to choose from: material that performs but is priced, scheduled and supplied for volume programmes, and material that is priced for everyone but carries qualification risk and no support behind it. A manufacturer running a development programme, a qualification batch or a tender bid sat between the two and was served well by neither.
SQUARED was set up to be the supplier that manufacturer was missing: competitive material, held in Europe, sold in the quantities a programme actually needs, with someone at the other end of the phone who understands the build.
SQUARED was established by body armour industry veterans with extensive experience in defence and law-enforcement technical requirements and procurement. The company is small by design: the person who quotes your order is the person who understands what it is for, and who has sat on the other side of the tender.

ULTAR™ is manufactured by UDM Industries Ltd. in Israel to the ULTAR™ specification. UDM operates an internal laboratory for the qualification of raw materials and produces under a controlled quality regime.
